business-plan

If you have an idea for a business, this competition might be for you!

Students compete by researching and writing a business plan which is then submitted to the Greater Barrie Business Enterprise Centre for evaluation.

12 finalists are honoured at an annual awards banquet where the winners are announced and awarded prizes donated from community sponsors.

Many different business ideas have been presented in submitted business plans over the years, including highly technical to creative arts and everything in between.

Judged by an independent panel consisting of educators, business professionals, bankers, successful young entrepreneurs and other professionals using a standard score sheet, the marks are then tallied and the winners chosen.
