Central Collegiate takes 1st place at the Annual High School Business Plan Competition.

On Thursday June 21st the GBBEC held its 11th annual high school Business Plan Competition awards banquet where 12 finalists were honoured for their efforts. Taking top prize was Mac Orlando from Barrie Central Collegiate Institute for his business Modern Day Gypsies. Mac won a $1200 scholarship from Georgian College, $500 cash, an iPad, and other great prizes.  Second place went to Kayla Labadie - Kayla's Kiddie Korner, 3rd place went to Steven Byford - Dancing Lights, 4th Place was Jullie Abbott - Julie's Photography and Most Innovative Concept went to Kyra Keckes with Tree Shirts. 

The GBBEC would like to thank all the sponsors and judges who's suport made this annual event a success once again.
