The Greater Barrie Business Enterprise Centre (GBBEC) was formed in February 2002 through an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development & Trade and the City of Barrie.
The Greater Barrie Business Enterprise Centre is part of a network of 46 Small Business Enterprise Centres operating in 56 locations throughout the Province of Ontario.
To provide assistance and support to small businesses in both their start-up and early growth stages.
The Greater Barrie Business Enterprise Centre is committed to assisting aspiring entrepreneurs of all ages realize their dreams of becoming their own bosses.
To give help to new business start-ups
To provide assistance to existing businesses operating for less than 5 years
To enhance business support programs for youth through programs such as: Future Entrepreneurs, Business Plan Challenge (for high school students), and Summer Company
